Pre & Post Care

LASER HAIR REMOVAL PRE-CARE
- Avoid sun exposure and self tanning for 2 weeks prior to your treatment. 
- Shave the area to be treated 24 hours to your appointment. Have desired areas clean shaved unless advised otherwise
Unshaved clients will pay a fee starting at $35 depending on the size of the area. 
- Avoid makeup, deodorant or lotion on the area being treated. 
- Avoid waxing, threading, or tweezing or 4 weeks prior to your treatment.
- Notify your service provider if you are pregnant or have a change in medication. 
LASER HAIR REMOVAL POST-CARE
 
- Avoid direct sun exposure and self tanning for 2 weeks. Always wear SPF and reapply!
- Immediately after treatment your skin can be slightly irritated with a sunburn like feeling. Apply a cold compress.
- Cleanse the area with tepid warm water. Avoid extremities of heat such as hot showers, hot tubs, and saunas for 72 hours after treatment.
- To achieve the best results, complete the full treatment schedule at the intervals recommended 
by your technician.
- Exfoliate treated areas to minimize risk of ingrown hairs.
- Allow a minimum of 7 to 14 days post treatment for hair to “fall out" or shed from the skin.

 

 

 

PHOTOFACIAL (IPL) PRE-CARE

- Avoid sun exposure and self tanning 2 weeks prior to your treatment. Sunburned skin cannot be treated

- Avoid wearing makeup to your appointment.

- Avoid products containing benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, retinol, or chemical peels for at least two weeks.

- Notify your service provider if you are pregnant or have a change in medication.

PHOTOFACIAL (IPL) POST-CARE
- It is normal for the treated area to feel like a sunburn for a few hours. 
- Avoid sun exposure or self tanning 4-6 weeks after your appointment.
- Avoid exercise, hot shower, or use of saunas/hot tubs.
- Do not pick as scabbing could lead to scarring.
- Avoid products containing benzoyl peroxide,
glycolic/salicylic acids, retional, Retin-a or chemical peels for atleast two days.
MICRONEEDLING PRE-CARE
- Avoid sun exposure, self tanning, waxing or any other exfoliating treatments two weeks prior to your treatment.
Cannot be performed on sunburned skin.
- Do not wear makeup to your appointment.
- Must not have an active herpes simplex breakout or any other open wounds on the area to be treated.
- Notify your service provider if you have taken accutane in the past 12 months.
- Notify your service provider if you are pregnant or have a change in medication.
MICRONEEDLING POST-CARE
- Expect your skin to feel tight and sensitive for 24 hours.
- Must wear a sunscreen with atleast 30 SPF and avoid direct sun exposure for one week post treatment.
- Do not wear makeup or cleanse skin for the first 24 hours post treatment.
- Avoid exercise for 72 hours. 
- A repeat treatment can be performed every four to six weeks.
- If irritation occurs after a few days apply an ointment like aquaphor.
CHEMICAL PEEL PRE-CARE
- Avoid sun exposure, self tanning, waxing, or laser treatments 2 weeks prior to your treatment.
- Notify your service provider if you have taken accutane in the past 12 months.
- Notify your service provider if you are pregnant or have a change in medication.
- Do not wear makeup to your appointment.
CHEMICAL PEEL POST-CARE
- Expect your skin to feel tight and sensitive after your treatment.
- Avoid direct sun exposure and self tanning for 1-2 weeks.
- Keep skin hydrated and moisturized. 
- Do no pick at your skin as it begins to shed or encourage it before it is ready as it can cause hyperpigmentation and scarring.
- Do not apply any acid or retinol based products for at least 72 hours following peeling service.
- Do not be alarmed if your skin does not peel at all. Sometimes effective peels on skin in good condition will not go through the peeling process; the skin may only look rosy and have a glow after treatment
